This week 4 brainiacs, Izzy, Hannah, Nick and Finlay, all participated in mind blowing comprehensive mathematics work. The event was organised by Penyrheol Comprehensive; the comprehensive all the y6 pupils will hopefully be attending in the future. Mrs Essary, who is a comp math teacher, quotes "It was a pleasure to teach these youngsters and I will hopefully be teaching them when they come up."
THIS IS WHAT WE GOT UP TO! The last slide is what EVERY SINGLE child received for taking part and trying their best.
HOW DID IT GO?
It went well; everyone participated and scored at least one each : ) Everyone was happy as they got active and exercised but people didn't complain!!!!! The teachers (Mrs Briggs, Mrs Banicau and Miss Picton) all were like head coaches to the children and thought it was amazing to see the pupils sporty side.
" Personally, I scored 6 myself, however there is no I in team," quoted Hannah. " We all tried our hardest to be the best we can be and I'm sure it paid off," proudly boasted Mrs Briggs.
There was a tense, uplifting excitement as Penyrheol Primary school prepared themselves for take off! During the lead up to March the 1st each class did a different task for welsh week (welsh themed cross stitch, baking welsh cakes and stirred up some cawl). On the day many people joined us such as police, parents, relatives, governors and local shoppers as we marched in true Welsh style to entertain the shoppers at Asda.
