This week in Y5/6 we’ve been learning all about the heart, using different methods of revision to gather information. We have written explanation texts about the blood's journey around the body.
Interesting facts: . The heart has four rooms (right atrium, left atrium, right ventricle and left ventricle) . The heart is part of the circulatory system (A network of tunnels your blood travels through) . The heart beats approximately 100,000 times a day We have also done some experiments this week, we each ran the length of the football pitch three times and timed ourselves. Then, we measured our resting pulse rate, and put the data in a table like this: Name Pulse Running time To find out whether your pulse affected how fast you run we put it into a scatter graph to find a link. Our conclusion was that there was no link between your pulse and running ability.
