While the school is closed I will be posting learning activities on this page. The activities can be completed using the tools on HWB and shared with me or e-mailed to shackleyr@hwbcymru.net . Work can also be completed in a Home Learning notebook which can be brought in when school is open again.
Please check the website each week for new learning and also check your emails through your HWB account.

During this half term break, I would like you to use your camera lens to provide a window into your world during the 'Lockdown'. We are looking for fun or emotional or inspiring pictures that show how you and your family and even your pets are getting through these strange times. You can take pictures in your home or garden or things you can see from where you live. Or why not take pictures on your daily walk/exercise? Be as creative as you want, but please also be safe. Email all pictures to shackleyr@hwbcymru.net
Here are some ideas to get your creative mind working....
Half Term
25/05/20 - 30/05/20
Usually this would be half term when you are with family and friends. There are often special events organised and picnics and beaches to enjoy. We still want you to have that half term feeling!
Instead of our usual classroom tasks online this week, I’d like you instead to create a memory box or diary to show how you will remember this time.
In the future, other children will be studying this in history lessons (imagine that!) They will want to learn about it by using your thoughts and memories. Let’s make it a brilliant resource for the future.

In 1963, Maurice Sendark wrote the picture book Where The Wild Things Are. In the story Max, on the night he wore his wolf suit went on a magical journey to the land of the Wild Things and became the King of these strange creatures. Eventually. he missed home and made the journey back to his bedroom, where it all began.

Celebrate National Superhero Day With Your Own Superhero
Celebrate National Superhero Day on April 28 with your child and show her the importance of having heroes and being a hero to others.
Every superhero needs to be in tip-top mental and physical condition. Why not create your own superhero training centre by setting up a DIY backyard obstacle course.
Teach your child about the heroes in his/her own life. Talk to them about why it's important to have superheroes in your life, not just the caped, masked variety who save the world from super villains in movies and comics, but the regular people who make a difference in the world every day.
Please email me your superheroes pictures and they will be added to our website shackleyr@hwbcymru.net
