Message from Mrs James
Helo Blwyddyn 4!
I can’t believe we are in our final week of our time together in Year 4. It wasn’t the end we were all expecting, but I would like to tell you all how amazing you have been during this strange time. I have been very proud of you all and the way you have coped with the new challenges with such a positive attitude.
I would like to say a big diolch yn fawr to those of you who have worked hard completing your online home learning activities. I have loved receiving messages through J2e, emails and photos to show all the fun and amazing things you have been doing. Also, thank you to the adults, who have supported you throughput this strange time to ensure you are happy and continue to blossom as a learner.
The summer holidays are almost here boys and girls, during this time I would like you to have fun and enjoy spending time with your family. But, please make sure you stay safe and follow the Government guidance.
Good luck to you all next year. It has been an absolute honour and pleasure to teach to you all this year and will miss you all.
Take care and stay safe and hopefully see you all soon
Mrs J :-)

Extra Bog Baby Activities; The story tells us that the girls loved the Bog Baby soooo much! Make a list of things that you love 'sooo much'. Can you put them in order of how much you love them?
What would someone need to know if they were lucky enough to find a Bog Baby? Can you write some instructions about how to look after a Bog Baby? What is it like? What does it need? Where does it like to live?

Half term has arrived!!
This week I would like you to focus on family fun time. Its time to relax and enjoy spending time with your family as you would do normally over half term. This week your activities will be slightly different, I would like you to continue to make memories. In week 5 I shared a time capsule information with you. I would like you to continue with this by adding making extra memories which can be added to your time capsule/memory box. This a moment in history which we will alwsy remember. This will be something you will look back on in years to come. Please continue collecting your special memories of lockdown for example create either a pic collage, a drawing, painting or model, a photo collection or a piece of writing - poem or diary, to record your memories. Remember you can include objects also i.e. a newspaper, your decorated stone, a letter from the government. Its up to you what you add! |
Magical Jar
A fun activity you could complete as a family is a magical jar. This involves you as a family sitting down and talk about things that you wish for during this time. The idea is you write down something you wish for during this time for example go to see Grandma and Grandpa and put it in the jar. When this is all over you will start pulling your wishes from the jar and completing your wishes. |
We will continue with our mini project about 'The Black Hat' after half term. I've been really impressed with what you have achieved so far and I can't wait to complete the second week of fun learning.
All of our home learning activities posted over previous weeks can be found below if you wish to take this time to catch up on anything you have missed
Please remember to share your amazing half term with me.
Have fun and enjoy.

This week I would like you to focus on healthy eating.
1. Research You will need to look at the different food groups and what food belongs in each group. Find out how much of each food group we should be eating and how each food group affects our body. Please record your research on HWB if possible using J2e5 or make a PowerPoint presentation you can share with me 2. Design a healthy balanced meal for your troll. I would like you to use your research to plan a meal for your troll. Label the food and give reasons why you have chosen that food for example banana for energy. You can also be creative for example baked beans to make him smell to scare away everyone. Please record your learning on HWB if possible or take a photo so you can share it with me. Or email a photo. |
Helpful tips
