Yr Hen Galan Old Welsh Traditions at New Year
Tasg 2 Ysgrifennu/Writing How to make a perllan.
Blwyddyn Newydd Dda! This week we are learning about some old Welsh traditions. In some parts of Wales they celebrate New Year on January 13th Yr Hen Galan. Children would knock on the door of their friends and family and sing a song. ( we definitely can't do this at the moment!). They would then be given some money as a present! Children would also carry a decorated apple called a 'perllan'.
Extra Challenge; Can you make an information sheet telling children the different ways the New Year is celebrated? Share with me vis e mail LecrassC@hwbcymru.net or share on J2E. Diolch.

You can add, subtract multiply and divide and use as many of the numbers as you want. You can't use a number more than once though unless it appears more than once in the list.
